820-00840 (1v on PPBus_G3H)

I am currently digging in the toy box trying to fix a junk board to replace a customer board that could not be fixed.

This one had repair work done to the PP3V4 supply
Now I do not get the 12V on the PPBus I get 1V
I have already checked both Q730 and Q740 The 20v is present on Q730 but the circuit is not turned on.
I replaced the ISL9239 U7000 and that didn't change a thing.
if anyone has a data sheet on a ISL9239 I so want it

I do not have a deep understanding of this chip and how it enables these transistors.
I am looking at the schematic but any input would be great!

I also do not have a known good working board to compare to.
I was a idiot and sold it.

Digging into the ISL
TBA_HPWR_EN_L is 3.3v

Does the SMC turn this thing on and off?
Just figured out that this SMC has a different pinout and my stencils are of no use!

Few notes about these transistors and ISL9239.

"En fase inicial el circuito de carga recibe solamente 5V desde el cargador.
En tal caso, U7000 controla los MOSFETs Q7030/40 en configuracion de Boost Converter (step-up).
Q1 queda siempre cerrado (ON) y Q3/4 realizan las funciones de conmutacion SMPS; Q2 queda abierto (OFF), no interviene.

Q4 queda siempre cerrado (ON) y Q1/2 realizan las funciones de conmutacion SMPS; Q3 queda abierto (OFF), no interviene.
La tension del cargador en este modo no es necesariamente de 20V, como aparece en esquema.
Segun la potencia real del cargador, puede entregar una tension de 15V, o 20V."

Easy to translate from spanish, for anyone I hope...

"In the initial phase the charging circuit receives only 5V from the charger. In this case, U7000 controls the Q7030 / 40 MOSFETs in Boost Converter configuration (step-up). Q1 is always closed (ON) and Q3 / 4 perform the SMPS switching functions; Q2 remains open (OFF), does not intervene. In step-up mode, U7000 can generate 13V on F7000 even with 5V input on the USB-C port. Once SMC starts working and detects the correct charger, U7000 controls the Q7030 / 40 MOSFETs in Buck Converter configuration (step-down). Q4 is always closed (ON) and Q1 / 2 perform the SMPS switching functions; Q3 remains open (OFF), does not intervene. The charger voltage in this mode is not necessarily 20V, as shown in the diagram. Depending on the actual power of the charger, it can deliver a voltage of 15V, or 20V. "

So based off that information the ISL9239 should power up PPBUS without the SMC's input?

Well the SMC is what I am after right now. I had to order the direct heating stencil and got abused over it. Cost about $20 Will be a few weeks before I come back to this one. I need to get a working board so I have a reference machine at least.

Take any working board with ISL9239 and enable SMC reset.
For example on 00840 model, solder pin 2/R7072 to ground.
Check what happens with PPBUS_G3H.
