I have a MacBook Pro with CD3215 properly switching to 20v. However, I am unable to use any kind of USB device such as mouse or USB drive using Type C to USB adaptor (tested working on other machine). I replaced both CD3215's already and same issue.
Oops, yes. Water damage through the type C ports. It damaged the CD3215's which I replaced afterwards - charging fine. There was also a short on the primary type C port. I had to cut it off physically to fix it because it was pretty bad. I am waiting on a new type C replacement part to arrive.
