USB C amp meter stays on 5v and pulls .01A
PPBUS_G3H is .9V

Man I must be a moron because I am lost on this thing. I can't find any shorts, no thermal.
I can't track down the PPBUS_G3H source. Not sure with this LB

Post basic voltages for U7000; P_IN, AUX_DET, VDDA/P, EN_MVR, A/BMON, CBC_ON, SMC_RST*.

P_IN is the 5v
AUX_DET is 0 "5v on the other side of R7015
VDDIO1P8 0v
EN_MVR 0v
BMON 0v
CBC_ON 0v
SMC_RST 0v

I did replace U7000 "from donor board" but who knows if it was any good.
same fault condition.


Noticed only 100 ohm resistance on F700,7001
Injected 3v3 and found U7650 glowed on thermal pulling 0.07A

Welcome to the rabbit hole.
U7650 was causing the 100 ohm short.
Replaced. Got 19v and then it died again. Found UA951 had shorted. removed and injecting power at output.
traced the UA951 short to UA600

Jumped ahead and the GPU is totally shorted.

WTF happened to this LB?
