BOARD DEAD
Q7040 SHORTED TO GROUND
I CHANGED WITH AON7934 (Q7040 WAS SiZ342DT) BOTH DUAL N CHANNEL
SHORT CLEARED.
NOW AM GETTING ONLY 1.3VOLT AT FUSE F7000.
WHAT MAY BE THE ISSUE
IS BAD CHARGING IC OR WRONG MOSFET ?
PLEASE HELP
Please, stop to write entire message in capital letters.
Is (scientifically demonstrated) more difficult to read, than normal writing.
Q7040 has more than 1 pin; which was shorted to ground (apart of 5-7)?
Is more convenient to specify a rail/line/pin, instead of a component; avoid missunderstood, please.
Do you now get 5V at R7020?
If yes, post basic U7000 voltages; P_IN, AUX_DET, VDDA/P, SMC_RST_IN, SMC_RST#, AUX_OK, A/BMON.
Also check diode mode to ground at PPBUS_G3H.
U7000 voltages;
PP DCIN_G3H_CHGR = 5 VOLT
AUX_DET = 1.1VOLT
VDDA/P = 5VOLT
CHGR_RST_IN=0 VOLT
SMC_RST# NOT FOUND
AUX_OK NOT FOUND
A/BMON= 0VOLT
PP3V3_G3H_RTC = 0VOLT
Q7040'S 5,6,7 legs are GND
and 2,3,4 are PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG
its totally shorted so PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG was shorted to ground before changing Q7040
after replacing Q7040 , F7000 gets high resistance to ground.
I changed both Q7040 and Q7030 with same (AON7934)
but still only 1volt at F7000.
