Trackpad will click when battery is disconnected and AC adapter is plugged in, but no display ever. I have replaced several boards with this issue but never tried to repair one. I have lots of experience replacing but I am not a fixer. I have a guy that can do the solder work and I can do the testing work if anyone can show me what to test.

OMG. I have a bad charger. Customer must have a bad charger too. I actually replaced the part and got the same result with the next part before I came back to check on this thread. I have since ordered a USB C voltage meter.
I actually went back to a liquid damage repair from last week that I thought was unsuccessful and tried it with a new charger and it works. Now I need to call my customer and tell them that im a doof.
