820-01700 LD -> 20v / 0.045a

Hi guys,

820-01700 was LD near left hinge (as seen normally) and it is missing pp3v3_s5 but line has a diode mode of 0.330

The issue seems identical to this thread: https://boards.rossmanngroup.com/threads/820-01700-20v-0-03-amps.61049/

Other voltages look good and board is very clean.

Any ideas? Haven't tried DFU mode yet..

Not similar problem, as you don't have short on 3V3_S5 rail.

Do you mean all AWAKE and SLPS2R voltages present?
If yes, try to access it in DFU mode.

I flashed it in DFU choosing restore and it came back to life but internet recovery gives error 2003 and the laptop apparently is locked for USB booting.. any suggestions?

ok thanks! Il check it out although I think its trolling me as I tried again earlier and got error 2002f... is this different? apologies for the bombardment of questions.

ok I managed to install big sur by connecting to a different WiFi and I had to issue Terminal commands to start the installation from USB as the recovery procedure hanged. All good now.
