820-01700 no power

This arrived for liquid damage repair on 10/2020 and just recently came back for no power. PPBUS_G3H is shorted. Resistance to ground 0.06. Checked all big coils but none of them have the same resistance to ground. Injected 1v into PPBUS_G3H drawing .900amps but nothing is getting warm.

Since none of the coils have the same resistance to ground, should more voltage be injected next? L9080 and U9080 do not appear to be shorted to ground.

Looks to have pure short; 1V should be good enough to heat something.
Unless you have incorrect limited the current, or use tiny cables.

So, set amp limit to max; 5A lab PSU doesn't help for sure.
Also use powerfull cables; you must heat the board, not the cables.

If you are sure the short doesn't come from any secondary supply, then you can increase injected voltage.
5A PSU may be used in such case.

Yes, cables are tiny and amps are set at 5 on lab PSU.

What size cables do you recommend? Using same bench PSU as Rossmann

I use recovered cables; 0.8-1mm diameter.
Soldering positive on the needed point and touching ground on a closer point available.

5A PSU gets blocked with 1V, if there is pure short; it doesn't inject anything.
Get 20A PSU for this purpose, as many times explained on the forum.
