820-01958 charges the battery but won't power up

this board is charging the battery because it ramps up to 1.8 amps on the meter. it will go into dfu and it will go through a revive but it never powers up at all. pm_slp_sus_l is 3v . pm_slp_s5_l is 0v. is this a chipset issue?

Do you get SSD and G3S voltages?
If no important data, do DFU restore; many times, revive is not enough.

That is pure short!
Remember to remove any power from the board and allow 10-15s before measuring diode mode, or ohm scale.

i think that this board has an internal short. using the thermal cam, It get visibly warmest around r5600 when i inject voltage on ppbus. i've removed all components from that area and it still does the same. I dont see a burn though
