820-02016 bad keys on keyboard

820-02016 the A and D are the only keys that don't work the mouse had water damage .
I change mouse and mouse cable and new keyboard same problem i even change the mouse darter board still no A or D keys

If only 2 keys are bad, that should be keyboard problem.
Any problem related with a row, or column matrix will cause more bad keys.

I saw this post snd wanted to share an experience with these models:

Usually non compatible trackpad or non compatible daughter board or both will 100% cause A and D keys missing.
Specially between Air A2179 intel and Air A2337 M1.

I think it’s valid also for keyboard but I don’t remember.

Couple of years ago I had issues with sellers thinking trackpad and daughter boards are compatibles. I still see listings A2179/A2337 trackpad or daughter boards.

Also if you try macbook Pro A2289 intel 2020 logicboard with A2338 M1 2020 keyboard, daughterboard and trackpad for testing purposes, it will cause “A” and “D” missing.

You may have other issues aswell.
