820 02020 usb data line not working

hello guys,

I have an 820-02020 board with a little bit of water damage.
The MacBook I got was booting but without backlight. I replaced UC300 because was missing P5VS2_BST for powering the backlight driver and that issues is fixed.

The MacBook is now working and charging. The only remaining problem is the usb activity that is not there. Anything else looks clean and I don't know what to check to fix this problem. any suggestion ?

Did fix the issue replacing CD3217. In most of the model that chip is the issue right? because I have a A1708 with that problem too.

Depends of exact symptom.
Sometime USB device is recognized on start-up, but not once macOS is loaded; then the big TBT cjip is the culprit.

Old models have separate circuit to provide 5V to external USB device; which fails a lot on 2016/17 models (GAV/GAY chips).

i have an 820-00840 with only the upper usb port, both sides, doesn't read the data line.
So,
The problem persists on both port, in both connection ways? NO
Do you get 5V at external USB device? No

Is this a cd3215 issue too?
