boots with circle with !

came in from apple store as they could not put it in dfu mode. tried myself and would not go either.
ive tried the process from https://logi.wiki/index.php/DFU_Mode_Restore_(Macs)#DFU_Mode_using_Jumper_method but im not sure if im doing it correctly.

i soldered a wire on no stuff rv005 . then i put a switch on sv005(one leg on each side). plugged it on charger and then clicked the button for 10 seconds. still no dfu mode.

Disconnect Touch ID and use second switch for power button.
Play with both switches...

figured out what i was doing wrong. was not holding button before plugging in power. got the device into dfu mode. getting to apple logo with progress bar on the mac and on my other mac says waiting for mac. then it gets kicked out with error 9.

not understanding the your reply. I've read that. any way to help me figure out what is the cause of the error 9 as it says there are many different causes. i haven't dealt with this issue before. where is a good place to start? replace the nands?

You should test each option.
This is not an exact science.
Apple has no interest to provide a real interpretation of error messages.

Be sure to use charged battery and good trackpad.
