820-02098 A2442 Boot but no charge

Hello,

I got an a2442 with some liquid damages. After some replacements it boots fine, but won't charge. The magsafe light is orange but no charge, and none of the usb c will charge it.
I tried dfu restore successfully but it still won't charge.
Where should I start ?

You should try with known good battery first.

Thanks for your response. I don't have another battery to try. But the board won't boot without battery. The battery discharge function well. The board should boot without battery with magsafe and usb c but it doesn't.

Trackpad clics wen battery is disconnected and magsafe light is orange. But the board is not booting

You didn't mention that in first post.
I was thinking machine was already tested with charger alone.

So battery is recognized and macOS correctly shows its percentage?
Post exact PPBUS_AON and 3V8_AON voltages with charger alone (without battery).

Check voltage on pads 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 of J5101.

Pin 3 denotes a problem on USB-C area.
Check UPC_I2C_INT_L too.

USBC2_AUXLSX_N broken pad under ug400, is that a problem for the board to boot without battery ?

Not sure what this bus is used for.
You should to rebuild broken trace.
M1 requires high level on UPC_I2C_INT_L line.
