820-2523 missing PM_SLP_S4_L but will boot from onoff pads

So, I know this is an old machine but this customer has been good to me and I wanna be nice
When plugging in my 85W magsafe I get green light but the board doesn't come on automatically like on other models. However, if I short the pads at R5015, it will power on, fan spins and the computer attempts to boot.
At this point I usually get RAM error beeps, but sometimes it will boot normally, especially if I put pressure on the RAM slots.
If it's normal for this model to not power up automatically when attaching magsafe, I will try to resolder RAM slot, but I wanted to check if I have any other issues to worry about first.

Only iCore platform machines boot automatically when charger is connected (without battery present).
This behaviour is not valid for old C2D machines.

Power button, routed through keyboard, failed on these old machines.
Some videos available about recover it, wihtout changing the KB; not always possible.

That's good to know, thanks a lot. I don't usually touch anything C2D but the customer insisted.
