820-2850-A no chime even after nvram reset, but sound works after bootup

I tried to do nvram reset on this 820-2850-A and it will chime when I am doing those key sequence. However, subsequent bootup has no chime again.

But sound works after boot into macos and volume up/down is also working.

What could be the cause of this?

Do you get sound on all speakers?

You can try to reflash BIOS.
But is so important the chime???

Test it, run a GPU bechmark.
If no issues, call it "repaired".

Change C9560, just in case.
