Hi , ive got and 820-2879 no image, laptop had water damage, as far as i can tell u9000 is not being told to turn the screen on, on pin 1 LCD_IG_PWR_EN i get 0v, diode reading is .496 so it dosnt seam to be shorting , pin 2 and 3 i get 3.3v , gpu vcore is at .085v so im guessing thats on, any clues where to go from here?

First, 3V at pin4 of J9000?
If not, check L9008.

Pins 6 & 7 should have aprox 3V and same resistance to ground; less than 1% difference.
If not, check R9008/09.

I suppose you have missing backlight too...

Hi yes i have 3v at pin 4 and 3v at pin 6 and 7 and resistance is the same on both pins and yes no backlight either, and just to put it in there cause i didnt say originally (my bad) , i have tested with a known good screen

Check diode mode on the same pins at the end of a separate LCD cable to confirm the connector is not bad.
