820-2879 wifi randomly disappears. fan 100% intermittently

Hey guys.

Everything works well except the issues mentioned in the title.

I have tested the resistors around fan connector. all seem well. also changed q5660. fan still 100%

where to hunt? is this common problem?

Check for corrosion around J3401.
Remove the conductive sponge, if present on top.

Fan spins high because of ALS issue.

Try another display assembly, for test.
Camera and airport are both connected on J3401, as bluetooth too.
You can change airport board, to diagnose wifi problem.
But Ambient LIght Sensor is embedded on the display, as camera too...
Did you peel out that sponge?

Yeah i already peeled sponge, this is 2nd wifi module i change also. It works sometimes and then other times just disappers. I have inspected connector and pins everything looks good.

If you have two different problems in one connector, guess what?
Change connector...

Did you try other LCD assembly?
This will give more info about ALS error.

Try another airport card or isight airport cable. These are common failures on Macbook pro from 2008-2010.

these cable are too thick, when one wire break it will short the uninsulated ground wires.
