820-2915 - Fan spin for ~0.5 seconds before it power off - this loops

Board looks like crap, has been worked on before. Shit ton of flux around the GPU

Been wokring on it for 15 minutes and I'm already to the point of giving up, probably the GPU is shorting something or messing something up.

PPVCORE_GPU <0.4Ohm (I don't think my multimeter can measure any lower)
Removing R8940, PPVCORE_GPU_REG_R stays 0V.

Where to look? Is there some part I'm overlooking or should I just trash it already?

Anything getting hot? My guess is the GPU is dead.

Everything cold, not feeling anything directly shorting. PPBUS stays around the same value (~12.5V) and the DC in doesn't cut out.

Dead GPU is extremely likely

It will need a new GPU at a minimum, it is shorted. You can pull the GPU, these board will power on and chime without. No video of course...
