Hi Guys,

I just got a board in, no light on the charger, still need to test everything. Customer said it had been repaired in Cambodia before as it didn't run on the battery. Now my question is, I noticed R7051 and R7052 pin 2 where both soldered together. Any reason why the other shop would have done this? Desoldering didnt make the Mac work, I guess I need to start with Onewire:).

My question is, is there any reason for soldering these resistors together, as it seems it was done on purpose, it was a nice solder bridge.

Thanks

Idiocy on their part. Undo that!

Is PP3V42_G3H present?
Is CHGR_ACIN and CHGR_DCIN present?
is SMC_BC_ACOK present?

LOL not for me at that time im usually watching your vids!

I got a green light for moment and fans tried to spin but gave up. Without battery it seems sometimes i get a green light and its trying to spin, but sometimes nothing and no light.

PP3V42_G3H @pin 5 U6901 = 3.48
SMC_BC_ACOK_VCC = swinging between 3.2-3.48
DC-IN Pin 2 U7000 = not stabkle swinging between 15-16.5v
Resistance to ground = 0.626 on this pinAC-IN Pin 3 U7000 = 3.85-3.96Resistance to ground = 0.546

Idiocy was undone. When I attach a battery i do get a spinning fan and green light when attaching the (original) charger.

I am using an original 85 watt Apple charger. Today no more green light. PPBUS at F7040 is 14.13v dropping to 6v and then jumping back to 14.13v. No battery attached only 2 fans and a ram module....

Firsts thing I guess is onewire circuit

PP3V42_G3H @pin 5 U6901 = 3.48
SMC_BC_ACOK_VCC = swinging between 3.2-3.48

U6900 Pin 1 = 3.48
pin 4 = swinging between 3.2-3.46
pin 5 = swinging between 3.2-3.46

re-assembled machine and did a SMC Reset, machine starts again so one issue solved:). Now I have a green light and it says battery not charging (shows charge in right top corner) so back to the battery charge circuit. Will check some vids from Louis how to fix this, if questions will be back.
