820-2997 Cinema display no image

We replaced the tunderbolt cable, but it did not display a picture. The cable gets hot when connected, even with the new cable.
Without electrical schematics, I don't know where to start.

Very dificult to diagnose without scchematic/boardview.
Check for short on Thunderbolt connections to logic boards.
See if any chip gets hot.
