In diode mode red probe to gnd: 0.011V,
Resistance to gnd 14.5 Ohm when not pwered but slowly drops to 1.5 Ohm when the charger is plugged: No short to gnd for me.
In the mean time the fan speeds up to the max speed.
CPU U1000 over heating can't let the finger on it.

Tomorrow I'll pass the board in an UC bath,as I see some test pads corroded around CPU. Maybe crap and corrosion under CPU.

STOP to measure continuity into powered board!!!

Is the same power rail...

If CPU get very hot without any voltage on VCORE, that is bad thing.
It receives few other voltages, but should not overheat wihtout VCORE.
You could have a bad CPU now...
