820-3332-A No thunderbolt out of one port

So I have an 820-3332-A with one working thunderbolt port. Port "A" is not working. customer states they plugged something into it and it stopped working. I took the board out, looked around and do not see anything burnt. He thinks the actual port is blown but I don't see how. I see there are 2 CD3210's for the ports. Is that a good start to check? or should I be looking elsewhere?

after looking in the scope i can see one of the pins in black.

It is not. I'm not sure if I should replace the connector or not.

Clean the pins first and check for reaction at hot plug detect pin (HPD) when you insert a device.

Ok I will try that. What if that doesn't work?

Cleaned up the port and it works. We can called thos one closed.
