Green light on charger goes on and off.

The board works fine when connected to a programmable PSU. it allso works fine with battery only.
Tried with known good DC-in board same result
No visible damage to the board.

Would really appreciate if someone pointed me in the right direction

Allso with lab PSU it draws 35 mA (without battery)

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Your case looks like input leakage.
Original Apple charger is smart enough to detect it and gets blocked.
Usually bad Q7080, sometime D6910.

Changed Q7080 and board now ok. Is there any way to measure if this is the faulty component?

Measuring R7080/81 and R7085/86 onboard values can help.
