820-3332 no picture

Hi,

I got this macbook with cracked LCD. I changed the LCD, no backlight and no screen, and no picture on external display.

No liquid damage for sure. I checked:

L8930
L8960
L8360
L8310
nothing on them.
GPU is ice cold.

I can't take this to Apple. PO ripped off the screw sleeves of the board.
I don't have P3V3GPU_EN. This could be a bad GMUX?

Update:

Checked U9100 GMUX.
I've PP3V3_S0_DPMUX_UC_R and PP3V3_S3_DPMUX_UC_R too.
So it has all the powers rails.

Y9100 is missing. Looks like it does not need clock signal.

Looks like you might have the bad luck of GPU being dead right as you replaced the screen.

The question is was this working before you did the LCD. The other question is did you remove the board before you did the LCD?

The PO removed the cracked LCD, and he said it was working before. So who knows?

I can tell you it wasn't. Does it even chime? Does a USB mouse light up?

Yes, it does. It chimes and boots into OS X. Just nothing on the screen.
I can set the volume up and down. I also can change the keyboard backlight.
Just no picture, I tried external it shows black screen and after a sec no signal, and then black screen and then no signal.

He's lying to try and trick you fixing the GPU issue on the board for free. Sell a GTFO.

remove lvds cable then connect with external screen ... and see if there any thing on screen ....
