I'm working on this 820-3332 that came in today. don't no the history. it has green/red light, pubs_g3h is at 12.6v, next rail i checked was ppvrtc_g3h, Found that it had 0.223v, checked and confirmed that it had a short to ground. chased it back to u1800.

i dont have a machine to recall a chip of this size. is it even worth messing with or just a no fix?

Resistance to ground on ppvrtc?
I would check U2600 and the 4 capacitors on the ppvrtc rail.

i get 33ohms resistance to ground on pad 1 of u2600. i pulled u2600 and the 4 capacitors and still 0.001 in diode mode.

yea tried that before, this PCH is not that hard to replace...then flash the bios with clean ME then you have a 400 board for sale...which is in good demand in the market now
