820-3435 high fan spin

Hi guys, happy new year! I have an 820-3435 that is actually working fine, orange light 8.59 volt on ppbus. The fan is spinning very high all the time. When doing the hardware test it gives an SMC error. Any ideas on this? Board seems a bit corroded overall, not really in any specific area just a lot of capacitor dont look nice and shiney anymore.

Try other trackpad and flex.
Post the entire message (3-4 text lines) of that error.
LIO board or its flex can also cause this.

Yeah run ASD156 and report exactly which sensors are failing. Let it run on error. Could be trackpad/trackpad flex, I/O Board/cable, webcam cable, or even the battery causing the problem, so good to know which sensor is bad.

The ASD file i have is only 256mb and shows only EFI no OS, might have to look for another one seems not to be complete. Or this only has the EFI test?

I never ran OS version, always EFI...

Yeah run EFI much better detail imo for sensor issues.

So we found a tiny little corrosion on the trackpad cable, that seems to be the cause, case closed. Thanks guys.
