So I have this MacBook Air I am messing with. I put an SSD in and get a kernel panic notice after the boot progress bar is almost full. So I changed the SSD again and I got this:

So it let me install MacOS but when I tried to open an app it locks up and restarts. Not sure if this is a bad CPU or what. I do not know the history of this computer but the case does not look like it has been dropped or anything.

First of all, disconnect internal SSD and try your USB OSX test pendrive/HDD.
Also try to run corresponding ASD EFI version.

Ok, so an update on this machine. I am able to run MacOS without Kernel issue from external SSD via USB. Any Ideas why? I am not well versed in this issue.

Still working on this one, I tried an external SSD w/fresh macOS. The progress bar will move fast to the end, then get stuck. If I restart then it gets stuck half way.

I had it running with an internal SSD for 30 min with no problems but once I put the computer to sleep, she acts up.

Test if you can run Windows, or Linux normally.
Also test OSX disconnecting LIO flex and trackpad.
Use USB mouse/keyboard connected through a hub on the MLB port.
Test the machine without battery too.
Also perform PRAM reset 2-3 times...
