820-3437 - System does not recognize battery

Logic board is clean but not working!

PPBus was 8.16v. I tried a reflow in the SMC, passed to 8.56V and Mac worked, but died minutes later.

I changed the SMC and it worked, but it did not start the system! So I tried a clean BIOS, system started, but it does not recognize the battery.

System does not show battery icon and in information, this as "no battery". But if I shot charger, the Mac gets on for a few seconds.

I tested with other batteries. I suspect the SMC or the BIOS file.

Put back original BIOS.
It should be good, if machine worked few minutes after refllowed SMC.
Did you reball original SMC, or changed it directly?

Actual PPBUS_G3H voltage is correct?
SYS_DETECT_L is 0V?

Bios, I tried to go back to the original, but it didn't turn on, I think there was a problem with the backup. Tried other files, same result.

Original SMC, I tried reflow after reballing, but PPBus was left at 8.16. So replace the SMC, now PPbus is 8.56v.

SYS_DETECT_L is 0.20v

Another information, it does not turn on only with the battery (charged). Only with magsafe.

Model 2014, has ASD? I'm looking for another SMC to test.

I checked the PPBus again, it dropped again to 8.16! =/

but it still works, just with battery problem.

Incorrect PPBUS_G3H voltage, will not charge the battery.

Check diode mode and voltage at SCL/SDA lines of battery bus.
ASD 3S156 is the version you need.
