820-3462-A green light no power s5 rails not present

Hi, got this "Liquid Damaged" A1425 in for repair. Has absolutely no corrosion though! Doubt it actually got wet at all. Regardless, it has no power, green light and then orange comes on. PPBUS_G3H and PP3V42_G3H are present. S5 rails like PP5V_S5 and PP3V3_S5 are not! Anyone know what could be wrong?

Do you have original Magsafe 2 60/85W charger?
Post PM_BATLOW_L and SMC_PM_G2_EN.

Can we know EXACT PPBUS_G3H voltage?

Yup used a genuine 85w one and it was always used with a 60w genuine one according to the owner.

PM_BATLOW_L is 0V
SMC_PM_G2_EN is 0V
PPBUS_G3H is 12.64V

Update: Out of absolutely nowhere PPBUS_G3H collapsed to 1.8V. Left the board sitting with power for like 1 minute and now this.... R6920 shows a burn mark on it though im not sure if that's new... No more light on the charger. I didn't do anything to the board what so ever

Bad news...
Do a visual inspection first, on caps and ICs connected to 3V42.
If nothing strange, try injecting voltage.
Give time and pray to detect heat somewhere; do not go over 4V...

So removed the SMC! Was a bit hesitant to do this but it came off perfectly! And Diode Mode reading have changed... I now get:

C6999 - .323
C6990 - .376


Better?

Hmm. I sadly have no donors on hand. Any idea where I can get decent replacements that are from actual boards and not just blank chips? Also, could this have caused the initial problems?

No green light with shorted SMC possible...
Check for corrosion around U6990; pay atention to C6994 and R6995/96.

I mentioned few times eBay seller galaxyelectronics2015 (Paul Lee) on the forum.
Write him directly, has many more scrap logic boards than listed on eBay.
If you are in US, contact Rossmann store...

Okay, will do. Shipping to Germany will be super expensive though... I?ll report back as soon as I have a replacement SMC on the board

He sadly didn't have any ones for this model MacBook Pro. Found one on AliExpress for 45$ with an SMC though they only ship to the US for some reason
