820-3462

I have a backlight issue on an A1425 820-3462 board. backlight Fuse was blown. Replaced fuse, stayed good after power on, no short to ground on PPBUS_G3H line

PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT is 0.44V.
PPBUS_SW_LCDBKLT_FUSED is 12.57V
LCDBKLT_EN_L is 12.6V
PPBUS_SW_LCDBKLT_PWR is (minus) -0.153V
BKLT_PLT_RST_L is 3.32V

R9789 is good
R9788 is good

System powers on and starts to boot so I am not sure what is causing no voltage on PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT.

Please help

OK. I just measured pin one of LVDS connector and its shorted to ground. Looks like I'm taking apart this display! Hopefully its just a cable

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Is that short present only when LCD is connected?
If yes, then try another LCD assembly.

Short to ground on pin 1 of LVDS cable.

- Disassembled Display and removed LVDS cable
- Observed corrosion in and around the connector and pin 1 on the cable end
- Replaced LVDS connector on display
- Replaced cable

Fixed
