820-3536 No Display

[CRC2018]

Got an 820-3536 in today with no display. System chimes as normal but there is nothing on the internal screen.

Visual inspection revealed some liquid damage on the JTAG connector which has been cleaned up, i've also cleaned the screen connection and tried another LCD - still no display. I'm not getting any voltage on L8300 so i'm guessing it might be a u8300 issue but i cannot see any liquid around u8300? Is there anything else I need to check before replacing U8300?

5V MUST appear at pins 28-30 of J8300, at least in the few first seconds, when hear the chime.
LCD_HPD_CONN should rise to 2.5V at same time.
If not, PCH cannot recognize the screen and 5V will disappear.

There is no 5v coming there at all not even for a few seconds. What is the next step?

Solved - in the end it was a bad U8330 - once replaced, display backlight and image are back as normal.
