820-4924 doesnt run from battery

No water damage, Just stopped charging (no green/orange light)

ISL625 pin 17/18 resistance was wrong so i replaced it, also R7151 ( value was wrong).


Now MacBook boot, i have green and orange light but when unplug charger it takes about 3-4 seconds and computers sleeps.

PP18V5_DCIN_CONN_R is 15V
PPBUS is 12,2V

Also replaced Q7130 but no result.

SMC is dead?

Wrong voltage, with charger alone.
Looks like bad communication between SMC and U7100.
Check diode mode to ground and voltage on the battery bus.

Are you using 45W charger?
This board requires 60W Magsafe 2 charger; it should boot with 85W too, but not 45W.

R5381 must be 2K OHMS but it is 15 OHMS . Replaced it but still same value.


Diode mode:

SMBUS_CHGR_SCL = 0,003
SMBUS_CHGR_SDA = 0,497

R5381 was probably good.
The short on the board have put you into confusion.

Remove D7050 and check again SCL line.

Removed D7050 and R5381 still 15ohms. Diode mode same (0,003)


It really seems bad connections between smc and ISL because voltage PIn 2 R5380 (SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA)on fluctuating from 0,2 to 3.3

Remove U7100 and check again diode mode on SCL line.
If still bad, then probably need to change SMC.

P.S: Is there anyway to reprogramm SMC??? I got first from 820-3476 board (similar, but not same) and everything was ok but it was detecting 42 inches display and resolution was over 2500px.
