So this one is still working but I have no backlight. I have an image and the fuse is not blown. On Q7700 BKL_EN_L is 12.54V

Post U770 voltages, 5, 18, 17, 15, 16, 11.
Also check diode mode to ground at both A/K pins of D7710; w/ and w/o LCD connected.

D7710:

W/LCD: A= .884V K=1.233V

W/O LCD: A=.887V K=1.235V

U7700:
Pin 5: 5.144V
Pin 11: 12.38V
Pin 15: 5.142V
Pin 16: 5.142V
Pin 17: 0V
Pin 18: 5.142V

I also observed when measuring L8300 when turning on board it measures 5V here and then after like 10 seconds it drops to 0.

In the time you have 5V at pins 28-30/J8300, check if LCD_HPD_CONN and DP_INT_HPD go both high.

"Put some replacements from a donor and now we have fan spin and a ? folder."
Did you get image and backlight that time?
And now nothing at all?

I'll check those next. At the time I could not tell if I had an image or not, I had to replace the LCD connector on the board due to corroded/missing pins. I for sure have an image though.

At least LCD_HPD_CONN should go high (2.5V), when you have 5V at J8300.
If not, bad video cable, or LCD panel.
Could also be a problem with LCD connector, if you already detected corrosion there.
Check all solders and traces...

Yeah I tried two different panels after plugging them into other boards. Should the 5V stay on? Or is it supposed to come on, then tuen off? I guess I could grab a working board and check.

5V should come on for few seconds even if not LCD connected.
But it only remains on if PCH detects LCD.
That is only possible if DP_INT_HPD comes on; it requires 5V above mentioned.

I fixed it!!!! don't know how I missed it, but the two vias for pin 1 (PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT) were broken. FIlled the one that was barely broken with solder and ran a wire for the other. oh boy what a troll this was. Now all I have to do is wait for new mic connector to come, run a new pad for that and this will be a fully working board.
