This board is booting but running slow. It was liquid-damaged but looks pretty clean after coming out of the ultrasonic cleaner. I'm not finding any areas that look damaged. Online test is giving "There may be an issue with the SMC" error. Not sure where to go next with this.
Could be BIOS issue, but SMC error reported points to a sensor error.
Online test doesn't show you any other information (code) about that error?
Fan goes high?
Where was the original liquid damage. Well, for fun I posted the pictures before cleaning the board. It came out of the ultrasonic looking perfect with no signs of damage from the liquid so I don't have much of a trail to follow. I'll try assembling a case for it so I can run HWMonitor. That might take me a minute to find the parts.
Fan doesn't go high. No other messages in the online test.
Damn that board is super corroded. Definitely try all known good parts then run HWMonitor to see if obvious sensor fails. Not normal for fans to really run at all on that model.
