Hello, first time poster here - not a repair shop owner - just decided to try and fix a macbook I acquired recently.
Unfortunately, I don't know the MacBooks history - just purchased it as defective for cheap with the only info given "It suddenly didn't turn on anymore".
The case seems eerily similar to https://boards.rossmanngroup.com/threads/820-00840-s5-rails-not-steady.50493/ but the thread seems to have died without reaching a conclusion
Here are some not-quite-highres pictures of the board:
SMC bypass did not work. Here are some measurements I performed so far:
PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR = 20V
TBA_AUX_DET = 4.97V
TBA_VDDA = 5.20V
TBA_VDDP = 5.20V
PM_EN_P3V3_G3H = 5.20V
PP3V3_G3H = 3.41V
SMC_AUX_OK = 3.41V
SMC_RST* = 3.41V

Considering I am seeing a small voltage on PP1V_S5G and PP1V8_S5G with the charger connected, I assume that those aren't shorted? Otherwise I would proceed by lifting the inductors and checking if the short remains. Can you help me with how I should proceed?
