A1398 820-3332-A no video

Hi,

I have an A1398 820-3332-A with no video. I can hear the chime, but I have no image, even in external display.

Already disabled GPU with medusa but with the same result.

Can you help?

First on this model is resolder U8900.
GPU doesn't fail as much as other models.

Disabling GPU lose external video!
I'm not sure if Medusa works on this machine model.

Hi,

tks. I didn't know that about this model.

After resoldering U8900, it worked a few times. But after reassembling the machine it stoped working again.

Should I replace U8900?

You can try that.
If problem still persist, then disable GPU.
Not a dificult job; only need few bypasses.
Don't forget to force backlight adjust signal also; to avoid wake from sleep issue.
