A1398 only boots with trackpad disconnected

After replacing charging port on A1398
The device keeps restarting. When trackpad is disconnected it boots normally.. replaced trackpad cable but still bootloops

No i havent. It also doesnt stay on with battery

So, it turns off with charger and battery connected and trackpad disconnected?

- It stays on with trackpad disconnected and charger connected
- It shuts off once the charger is disconnected.

assuming the battery is bad, does that affect the trackpad/keyboard?

Bad battery shouldn't prevent turns on with trackpad connected.
The trackpad may not be recognized in system preferences without battery; but it should still work.

Okay will go ahead and order a new trackpad and battery just wanted to be sure as the parts take 2 weeks to ship to me
