Hi,

I have an A1466 820-00165-A that doesn't recognize the keybord nither the trackpad.

I already tried with USB disk, with new trackpad and new cable and new keyboard, but same result.

Diode reading on J4800 seams ok, besides pin 8 (TPAD_WAKE_L) that has 0.002. Not sure if it is a normal reading.

Can you help?

As per schematic 2 versions exist, TPAD_INTWAKE : SPLIT/SHARED.
If R4844 is soldered (SHARED), short to ground is normal.

KB/TP work before loading macOS (boot menu)?

HI,

U4810 looks OK.

I can't login to macos, because keyboard doesn't work. However when powering on the macbook, with only the board on the bench I get these voltages:

Before login menu
Pin 3= 0V
Pin 7= 2.485V

After login menu:
Pin 3=2.485V
Pin 7=0V

With KB conected on the board I get those values:

Before login menu
Pin 3= 0V
Pin 7= 0V

After login menu:
Pin 3=2.485V
Pin 7=0V

"with only the board on the bench"
Why would we need irrelevant measurments?
Please, measure with TP connected.

With TP/KB conected on the board I get those values:

Before login menu
Pin 3= 0V
Pin 7= 2,030V

After login menu:
Pin 3=2,034V
Pin 7=0V

File vault is disabled.

U4810 voltages:

BOOT MENU:
1=2.881V
2=3.268V
3=0.002V
4=0V
5=2.879V
6=0.003V
7=2.035V
8=2.034V

With TP/KB connected I only get 2.0V on PP3V3_S4, and w/o the TP/KB I get 2.4V on PP3V3_S4, but I'm sure that a few hours ago I had 3.3V on PP3V3_S4

I don't understand those readings (tried with 2 multimeters), because I think that the mac shouldn't power on without PP3V3_S4, but It boots

MACOS:
1=2.881V
2=0V
3=2.0V
4=0V
5=2.879V
6=3.297V
7=0V
8=2.036V

U4810 seems to work, but you must fix 3V3_S4 problem.
It is bad even without TP connected; should be 3.3V, not 2.4V, nor 2V as you've posted on U4810.
Test changing U8000.
