A1466 820-00165-A no power

Hi,

I have an A1466 820-00165-A that is rebooting. It reaches 16V but then goes to 0V.

PP5V_S5 has 5V steady, but PP5V_S0 is oscilating between 1.8V and 0V.

Mac had water contact, but the client decided to clean it and now I can't see any corrosion on the board.

Can you help?

What is the behavior of 3V42_G3H and PPBUS_G3H?

Sorry. On the bench PSU it reaches 16V and 0.030A

3V42_G3H = 3.4V steady, even when reboots

PPBUS_G3H = 8.57V steady even when reboots

Can you test with original Magsafe 2 charger?

I´ve already tested it, but with same result. No power on

Do you get same above mentioned voltages with original charger?
Did you test in SMC bypass mode?

In SMC Bypass, I still have no power on, with the same voltages and PP5V_S0 with same behavior.

I notice that the test pad who connects SPI_MOSI to R6112 is gone and the P1V05S0_PGOOD test pad is also gone, but trace between R8164 and U7600 is OK.

P1V05S0_PGOOD oscilates between 0V and 1.3V.

Can it be related?

Be sure all SPI Bus Series Termination resistors and their traces are good.
ALso inspect J6100 for corrosion.

Hi.

J6100 has no corrosion.

R6116 was missing and I've replaced it. All SPI Bus Termination resistors are with normal values, and traces are ok.
