Hi.

I have an A1466 820-00165 with no green light.

PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR = 16V

SCL/SDA = 0.530 on diode reading

PM_SLP_S4_L = 0V and 0.455 on diaode reading

PPBUS_G3H = 0.360V and 0.140 on diode reading

PP3V42_G3H = 0.005 on diode reading

Already replaced U7090 but it still get hot, and SMC don't.

Can you help?

Hey.

Even removing U7090 and L7095 the short remains on 3V42_G3H.
When I solder everything back, only U7090 gets hot.

What can I do?

There are many components connected to 3V42_G3H power rail.
Injecting 4V there should help, if you have a good thermal camera.

Just in case, try removing C7098/99.

Hi.

Already found the culprit and now I've got 3.4V, and a green light on magsafe.

However, still has no power, and the ampmeter shows 0V.

PP5V_S5 = 0v and 0.460 on diode reading
PP3V3_S5 = 0V and 0.350 on diode reading

Hi.

Sorry for the mistake.

PPBUS_G3H = 8.56V

SMC_PM_G2_EN = 0V and 0.552 in diode mode
S5_PWR_EN = 0V and 0.553 on diode mode

R7552 = 0 ohm

Shall I replace U7501?

U5000:

PP3V3_S5_SMC_VDDA = 3.4V
PP3V42_G3H = 3.4V
WIFI_EVENT_L = 0.560V
SMC_RESET_L = 3.4V
PP1V2_S5_SMC_VDDC = 1.2V
PP3V3_S5_AVREF_SMC = 3.2V
SMC_WAKE_L = 3.1V
SMC_CLK32K = 2.8V
SMC_EXTAL =0.325V
SMC_XTAL = 0.187V
SMC_TCK = 3.4V
SMC_TMS = 3.4V
SMC_TDO = 3.4V
SMC_TDI = 3.4V

Any history available?
Was the SMC previously reworked?

You can try replacing SMC with known good one.
Just in case, replace first U7501...
