A1466 - 820-3437-B no power on

Hi,

I have an A1466 - 820-3437-B, that when it is powered off for a while, only powers on again when conected to the charger. With battery alone, it dosen´t power on at the firsts atempts (even trigering SMC_ONOFF_L), but then, after a few starts with the charger, it starts to work normaly.

Sometimes it only powers on again, disconnecting the battery.

I can´t see anything corroded, and i've already tried a know good battery.

J6950 w/o battery connected:
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL = 3.4V
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA = 3.4V
SYS_DETECT_L = 0V

J6950 with battery connected
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL = 3.4V
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA = 3.4V
SYS_DETECT_L = 0V

The battery is recognized in macOS and is charging.

Can you help?

Check if none of PCH's RTC signals has a critial level.
Must be all over 2.4V...

All 4 RTC signals are present

PCH_INTRUDER_L = 3V
PCH_INTVRMEN = 3.249V
PCH_SRTCRST_L = 3.3V
RTC_RESET_L = 3.3V

Check all U5110 voltages, when the problem appears.

Hi,

U5110 pins voltages (battery only):
1 = 3.4V
3 = 3.4V
4 = 2.777V
5 =3.3V
6 =0.383V
7 = 3.4V
8 = 3.3V

After desconecting the keyboard, the mac powered on again, trigering SMC_ONOFF_L . Do you think it can be the KB, or maaybe it was it just another coincidence?

Is there any way to test this for sure?

SMC_LSOC_RST_L must be always high.
Try another trackpad board.
