Hello,

I have an A1502 820-3476-A that has no wifi.

I already replace the wifi card, the wifi PCB and the cable, but with the same result.

On U5000, I have 3.3V on SMC_WIFI_PWR_EN, and on J9510 I also have 3.3V.

Can you help?

"AP_CLKREQ_L = 2.8V"
This isn't good.
Check pin 22 of J9510 if good soldered.
AP_CLKREQ_L must go down when Wifi is inserted.
Check this line on the RIO board/flex, until the airport card.

HI,
I already replaced RIO board/flex, but the same result.
J9510 seams to be well soldered, no pins lose, and no signs of corrosion.

Clock request line MUST go low, when airport card is inserted.
If not, PCH will not release its PCIE clock signal.
Did you also try another airport card?

I'm sorry! I was measuring it without the RIO Flex connected.
AP_CLKREQ_L is 0.0012V with RIO board/flex/card connected.

Did you check coils continuity and also diode mode to ground?
Then you must have bad PCH, or broken trace to it.

I have continuity, and I get 0.333 on diode readings on L9501.
Do you think that its CPU? Is there any way that I can measured it?

If you discarded RIO board/flex and airport card, the only things to check on the board are the two caps and coils on data lines.

Hi,
Sorry to ask, but the only coil that i can see is L9501. On L9501 I get on PCIE_CLK100M_AP_P 0,397V. Is this a normal value?
Is there any other coils tthat i can check??

Hi,
I don't have the boardview or schematics for the RIO board. Where can I mesure the clock on RIO? Do you have schematics and board view that can please share?
Thanks!
