A1534 820-00244 no power

Hi,

I have an A1534 820-00244 that has no power.

It wasen't powering on, and It was pulling 20V from ampmetter, and 0.80amp, had no USB activity and CPU was hot, but when i start measuring the rails, PP3V3R3V0_AON was missing, and after that it started to pull only 5V from ampmetter without no explanation.

USBC_XA_CC1/2 seams to be ok, because I have 0.550 on diode reading. Shall i replace CD3215?

Can you help?

Try voltage injection.

For next time, do not waste time checking a powe railr which is present for sure; confirmed by another voltage, than can't appear other way!!!

Tks for the tip.
What seams to get hot is the CD3215. Does it makes sense? Shall I replace it?

HI,
After removing U3100 the short on 3V0_AON was gone, and so I replaced CD3215. However, now I get 20.5V from ampmetter, and only 0.21A.
The mac won't power on, and its not responding to the keyboard commands

CPU gets hot

L7670 = 0.019V
PP5V_S5 = 5V

L7690 = 3.3V
L8410 = 0.129V
L7030 = 9.45V
L7430 = 0V
L7410 = 0V
L7230 = 0V
L7210 = 0V
L7290 = 0V

As PP5V_S4 is missing, can it be a bad CD3215?

If you get 20V on USB-C input, shouldn't be CD3215 issue.
CPU is probably bad, if gets hot in this state.
