Hi, I have a A1707 820-00281 with the infamous question mark folder. I saw a video of the 1706 witch has a failing probe point in many cases. Any know issues for this A1707 15 inch touchbar with regards to SSD drives failing?

Yes connected. No short on all SSD powerlines. I get 3.3v and 1.8v but both then drop to 0v One capacitor looks like its a bit corroded, measures still OK though no short on that one. Its C9390 pin 1 thats a bit corroded.
If SSD voltages drop, is the reason of question mark folder.
All SSD voltages must come and stay on.

So i reassembled the machine, running on battery power. I have all voltages 12v, 1.8v and 3.3v should there be something else?

I have SSD_RESET_L = 3.2v. SSD_PWR_EN =3.25v, SSD Nand has 1.2 and 1.8v
Check all voltages from page 84.

Found a short, now I have following issue. The board is an 820-00928-A and I have the boardview and schematics for 820-00928, doesnt say A. Mostly looks identical but the area where I found the short is slightly different, see attached image from my boardview as well as the board in question. Is there different versions of this board?

Be sure to have schematic and boardview for Baffin2,
Baffin (X363G) is 00281.

yes it is, so they sold me the wrong one

I always buy them, fast The IC that are shorted are not in Baffin2 so we have no clue what line is shorted. I have emailed my schematics supplier maybe by now he has the correct one. Just to make it clear, I have schematics for Baffin and Baffin2. The corresponsing boardviews that came with these are identical, just named different 281 and 928. Maybe its just the wrong boardview that was included and the scematics is OK.
That shorted power rail should go to some connector, or another easy component to locate on boardview...
