I have an a1708 that came to me after a screen replacement.
Works fine in safe mode but in regular mode it loses image at the login prompt, just a few seconds after showing prompt.
Image will return sometimes after pressing a few keys, then go right back out.
Backlight is on entire time, I have tried resetting pram and disconnecting battery and draining capacitors, no change.
Diagnostic mode shows no errors.
Any ideas? I'm wondering if perhaps the people that changed the screen used an incorrect part number.
