What board do you have, 00840, or 00875?
Next time, post the model in the title, please.
Do you get image for sure on the internal screen?
Did you check external video?
Also check for USB activity.

Do you get any voltage at PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT?
Really strange, EDP_BKLT_EN comes from PCH and you have image.
Try doing PRAM reset 2-3 times.
If no change, then try known good LCD assembly.

Do you mean EDP_BKLT_EN was 0V without LCD connected?
What did you expect in such case, if PCH didn't detect the LCD?
Always check voltage and signals video related with LCD connected.
