A1989 4.8V, 0.23A on USB-C charge ports after severe liquid damage

3 out of 4 USB-C ports show a current draw of 0.23A at 4.8V while the 4th port stays at 0.00 A. I am told that the machine was severely soaked inside and run with the water still inside. There's residue visible around 3 small chips next to the left side CD3215 chip as well as at some capacitors near the speaker connector.

I know this is probably a failure of the CD3215 or its supporting circuitry but not sure where to start tracing. Where should I?

Is the CD3215 shown on the picture, the chip associated with non-working port?
Check diode mode to ground on its LDO lines.
