Hi,

I have an A1989 820-00850-07, that had a bit of liquid contact in the Keyboard conector area (J6700) and near QB631 area is a bit oxidated, with no power.

It puls 5V from ampeter in all USB-C ports, and around 0.05A

PPBUS_G3H = 12.25V (board alone)

I think all diode values of CD3215 ships are ok.

UB400:
PP1V1_UPC_TB_LDO_BMC = 0.527
PP1V8_UPC_TB_LDOD = 0.491
PP1V8_UPC_TB_LDOA = 0.532
PP3V3_UPC_TB_LDO = 0.505
USBC_TB_CC1 = 0.600
USBC_TB_CC2 = 0.605

U3200:
PP1V1_UPC_XB_LDO_BMC = 0.529
PP1V8_UPC_XB_LDOD = 0.495
PP1V8_UPC_XB_LDOA = 0.536
PP3V3_TBT_X_SX = 0.535
PP3V3_UPC_XB_LDO = 0.507
USBC_XB_CC1 = 0.602
USBC_XB_CC2 = 0.606

U3100:
PP1V1_UPC_XA_LDO_BMC = 0.483
PP1V8_UPC_XA_LDOD = 0.457
PP1V8_UPC_XA_LDOA = 0.491
PP3V3_TBT_X_SX = 0.535
PP3V3_UPC_XA_LDO = 0.506
USBC_XA_CC1 = 0.595
USBC_XA_CC2 = 0.593

UB300:
PP1V1_UPC_TA_LDO_BMC = 0.485
PP1V8_UPC_TA_LDOD = 0.459
PP1V8_UPC_TA_LDOA = 0493
PP3V3_TBT_T_SX = 0.535
PP3V3_UPC_TA_LDO = 0.505
USBC_TA_CC1 = 0.597
USBC_TA_CC2 = 0.601

Can you help?

Hi,

UPC_I2C_INT_L stays always the same readings.

I've tried DFU now, but with same result.

However, I notice that Q3451 had a small dot, that seamed to be burnt (not sure) and so I've replaced it, and SAVE_XB_CC1_B and SAVE_XB_CC2_B have OL in diode reading and were the same values before replacing Q3451. Is that normal?

Hi.

All readings are the same in Q3431

However, I notice that all QB651, QB631, Q3451 and Q3431 had a small burnt mark. I have replaced them all, but i have the same result, and the same diode readings in all of them.

I also notice something strange witch is (i'll try to explain):

When I conect the charger on the UB400 port, I get 0.050 ~ 0.080V on FB200 (UB300 fuse), and slowly drops to 0V. That only happends on this port.

Hi,

I've replaced all CD3215 again, and UPC_I2C_INT_L always stayed low (on every time). Can it be T2 chip pulling it down?

What else can i check?

Any CD3215 chip can pull down the signal, if detects a problem on its area.
So you may have damaged component, trace, corrosion, etc.

Does the machine complete DFU, or ends with error?
