Motherboard 820-00850-A
Power button do nothing. All usb-c: 5V 0.03A
Goal: get user data

Did you check PPBUS_G3H and 3V3_G3H_RTC?

Remove F7000 and check where the short remains.
Do you get C7050 voltage then?

F7000 removed, short is gone.
power on usb-c, C7050 - 0 voltage, usb tester shows 5V 0.03A

I inspected the elements and found a capacitor C7053 with a black dot, the top part of which broke off when touched. Soldered it out, checked its 0 ohm, and now short is gone.
Do I need to look for a replacement capacitor if my goal is access to user data?

Is not critical, forget it.
If you now get correct C7050 voltage, then resolder F7000 and test the board.

12V on the C7050, put F7000 back, assembled, Apple logo, works. Thank you very much.
