A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

Hi,

i have here a „820-01041-07“ with PPBUS_G3H on 12.23V.

When I connect it to the charger (just the logicboard / without battery) I’m getting 19.6V / 0.00-0.05A (it’s power cycling).

Already tried a DFU restore via AC2, sadly it ends with an error. (T2 is getting warm during DFU restore)

Shouldn’t be PPBUS_G3H at 12.6V? So it’s too low if you ask me.

Edit: L9080/L9081 (PIN1/2) diode values are 0.350V, when I plug in the power cable the values are going down to 0.060V. Dead SSD? If yes, is it possible to replace a faulty NAND?

Edit2:

PP5V_G3S = 0V
P5VG3S_EN = 0V
PP1V8_SLPS2R = 1.8V
PP1V0_SLPS2R = 0.8V
PP1V1_SLPS2R = 1.1V
PPVDDCPU_AWAKE = 0.75V
PP0v82_SLPDDR = 0.82V

"L9080/L9081 (PIN1/2) diode values are 0.350V, when I plug in the power cable the values are going down to 0.060V"
Are you checking diode mode with power applied???
In fact, allow 10-15s after power is removed, before checking in diode mode, or ohm scale.

Incorrect PPBUS_G3H is caused by incorrect communication between T2 and ISL9240.
The voltage can be corrected by DFU sometimes, if no hardware problems on the MLB.
You should check first diode mode and voltage on battery's SCL/SDA lines.

I2C_BATT_SDA_R = 1.8V / 0.456
I2C_BATT_SCL_R = 1.8V / 0.464
I2C_PWR_SDA = 1.8V / 0.455
I2C_PWR_SCL = 1.8V / 0.463
SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SDA = 3.3V / 0.900
SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SCL = 3.3V / 0.942

Edit: It can't complete the DFU restore / revive because the SLPS2R and AWAKE voltages are not stable.

Did you try both revive/restore options?
If yes, reflash SoC ROM and try DFU again.
Don't forget to make backup first...

I have successfully flashed the .BIN file to the SoC ROM.

Now im getting the following message in AC2
Unexpected device state 'DFU' expected 'Recovery' (Probably forced into DFU mode externally) [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore – 0xFAE (4014)]

Note:
SOC_FORCE_DFU and PP1V8_SLPS2R are not connected.

Already tried that but sadly its entering DFU again and restore always ends with the message above.

The ".BIN" should work, right? Or is there anything I missed? Before the reflashing it wasn't 24/7 in DFU.

Edit: Also strange is that when the MB is assembled it stays on "4.97V/0.00-0.01A". After I connect my MB (with AC2 and left port close to the trackpad) it goes up to "19.7V/0.06A" and shows up in AC2.

The dump is good.
Is normal to enter in recovery by itself, once SoC ROM has been altered.
You can try now writing back original dump.
