A1990 820-01041-A no power

Hi,

I have an A1990 820-01041-A that has no power. It only pulls 5.16V from ampmeter. Client says that it was working on it, and it just turned off for no reason.

Ampmeter stays at 5.16V on all 4 ports, and 0.02A.

Diode readings from all 4 CD3215 on CC1/2 are OK (0.590 ~ 0.600).

PPBUS_G3H seams to be shorted (0.002 in diode reading).

CanI inject 5V there (I thing its safe 5V, correct)? 1V doesn't heat nothing.

It was a shorted cap.

You had luck, don't do that again.
You could fry CPU, if was shorted chip on CPU power supplies.
Where the 5V injected voltage goes in such case???

So many times discussed here about when/how to, or NOT inject voltage into PPBUS_G3H.
